"For each of man's evils a special demon exists..."

The movie opens at Ed Harley's small country store. It is a typical day at work and he has some errands to run. Usually his young son would go along with him but this time he asked if he could stay behind to play. Reluctantly, he father agrees. A group of teenagers who are camping nearby, stop off at the store. On their way out they are being reckless on their dirt bikes and fatally wound Ed's son. Only one of the teenagers decided to stay with the dying boy, the others flee the scene.

Ed is so distraught from losing his son that he decides to visit a local witch for help. When he was a young boy himself, he witnessed the witch controlling a bizarre creature and now he wants her to bring his son back to life. She refuses to help bring his son back to life but she agrees to help him seek revenge on the teenagers that caused it. She orders him to go the pumpkin patch and dig up the corpse of a cursed man. When he returns with it, she uses the son and fathers blood to bring the creature to life.

The teenagers who had fled the scene are back at their cabin and are debating as to whether or not to turn themselves in. The one boy is already on probation and is afraid to go to jail. One of the boys starts to feel guilt about what they have done and decides to turn himself in. As he goes to leave the cabin, the reincarnated creature gets him.

Ed himself is starting to feel remorse for the killings and asks the witch to reverse the curse and she tells him that she cannot. In fact, nothing can stop the creature and the creature will continue to seek revenge on anyone that it believes has wronged it. Anybody that even attempts to stop the creature will only become its next victim.
