Saw III

"Suffering? You Haven't Seen Anything Yet..."

Saw III is a Canadian-American horror movie directed by Darren Lynn Bousman. John Kramer (Jigsaw) and his assistant have spent the time since Saw II eluding the police. Jeff, a man who is grieving the death of his young son is the first victim to be taken hostage in Jigsaw's warehouse turned torture chamber. Jeff goes through a series of tests, all aimed with forgiveness and letting go of his son.

Meanwhile, one night after working a late shift, Dr. Lynn Denlon is kidnapped, and she is also brought to the warehouse. Lynn's task is to keep John Kramer, who is dying of terminal brain cancer, alive while Jeff goes through his tests. To make matters worse, Amanda straps an explosive device around Lynn's neck which is set to explode if John dies. Lynn struggles to keep the faltering man alive as Jeff makes it through his tests. In the end of his test Jeff comes face to face with three people involved in his son's death, including the man who was driving the car, and must decide whether to help them of watch them die.

Jeff makes it through the test and Amanda is instructed to take the explosive device off of Lynn since she was able to keep John alive for the duration of the tests. Amanda, not believing that Lynn learned from her test, shoots her. Jeff retaliates and shoots and kills Amanda. John then tells Jeff to forgive him for what he has done and Jeff slashes his throat instead. John turns on a recording stating that he has failed the tests and has not learned how to forgive. It also states that his daughter is at an unknown location and he must go through another test to try to save her. John dies and Lynn's device goes off, killing her.

This Saw promises another good one to come.
