Watch School Ties

School Ties is part coming of age, part racial stereotyping, and part boys will be boys story. The plot is set in a 1950s boys school for the obviously wealthy and well connected families. The all star cast includes a young Brendan Fraser and Matt Damon, who struggle through their educational years and normal teenage angst issues along with some very heavy prejudice.

David Greene, played by Brendan Fraser, is a well deserving but out of place boy among the elite thinkers and star athletes at the biased preparatory school. He attempts to hide his Jewish heritage, but eventually the other boys notice the Star of David around his neck and begin an unprecedented backlash.

Amid the turmoil, violence, and hatred, friendships are tested and true courage is formed. Despite the challenges that continually arise as the boys are forced to face their own jealousies and prejudices, each of the young men are eventually able to confront their own demons. Some minds change, while others are too narrow to adjust to the modern world. The influences of family and friends are simply too difficult for some boys to overcome and they must make very tough decisions about their future.
