Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit

Sister Mary Clarence is back! Whoopi Goldberg goes undercover as a nun once again in this dramatic comedy. Deloris van Cartier has gone back to her life on the stage. She thinks her life has returned to normal. That is, until the loveable ladies of San Francisco’s St. Francis ask Deloris to step out of the spotlight in order to help teach their students. The nuns, including Reverend Mother, want Deloris to teach the school's music class. However, this will not be an easy task. The rowdy and disrespectful teenagers have terrorized every other member of the faculty. They expect the new sister to crumble just as easily, but they soon recognize that she is very different from the rest of the staff. She quickly takes charge of the class, and then discovers the students actually have talent! Using her street smarts and musical savvy, Sister Mary Clarence molds the students into a gifted choir. More and more people begin to flock back to the church. While building their confidence, she also restores the community’s faith in the church.

Then, Sister Mary Clarence discovers the plan to close down the school. For many of the kids, St. Francis is their only safe haven in the world. However, the greedy administrator, Mr. Crisp, has other ambitions. He is desperately trying to convince the diocese shut the doors of the school. So, the sisters devise a plan: enter the talented teens in the annual choir competition. This will provide enough money and prestige to save St. Francis. Now, it is a race against time, as everyone else begins to say their goodbyes. With the help of some comical monks, the sisters prepare to fight for their church and their students with the only tools at their disposal: talent and faith.
