Watch The Accused

"Being a victim was her only crime."

The main character of the story "The Accused" is Sarah Tobias, and she is a working-class woman but she has a lot of sex. The movie starts by showing her being raped at a bar, and many people watch the rape. A district attorney named Kathryn Murphy is assigned to the rape case, but the professional does not want to pursue the case. The district attorney's boss wants the professional to enter a plea deal. If she enters a plea deal, the rapist will be required to spend some time in prison. Sarah does not like the deal because she feels it doesn't justify her anguish.

Sarah purposely drives her car into the pickup truck of one of the people who encouraged the rape but it leaves her in the hospital. The district attorney makes the decision to charge the people who encouraged the rape because they were just as guilty as the rapists. Sarah's friend saw the rape because she is a waitress at the bar where it happened. Sally is able to positively identify three of the rapist in a line-up, and each man gets a different lawyer to represent them at trial.

Sarah's friend goes on record as saying she was rapes, and Kenneth watched the rape before he called 911. The defense attorney has to give her closing arguments in order to win the case. The jury takes awhile to agree on a verdict, and they ask that some of the testimony be reread to them. Will they be found guilty of rape or will they get away with rape? This is just some of the action that takes place in the movie, but you will have to watch the film to see what happens next! It will be sure to keep your attention from start to end!
