The Big Red One

"Only chance could have thrown them together. Now, nothing can pull them apart."

The Big Red One starts out at the end of World War 1. It has a private named Marvin who kills a German soldier, unaware that the war has already ended. The movie started in November of 1918. The movie then goes to November 1942. Now the private is a Sergeant. Sergeant Marvin is in North Africa; he is in charge of a squad of infantrymen.

The movie follows Sergeant Marvin and his squad as they serve on many missions. It follows them in Sicily, and in Omaha Beach. It also follows them in The Battle of Normandy. The Sergeant believes that soldiers are killers not murders. Sergeant Marvin ends up in the same field he was in years earlier, where he killed the German solder who was trying to surrender to him. The movie follows Sergeant Marvin, and his squad until the end of the war.
