The Brothers

"Together in the hell holes of war worlds apart in a small town"

The film follows four close male friends as they experience adulthood together. The film explores how the men use their close friendship to deal with all the challenges that life brings them, from their careers, families, and particularly relationships. The four friends, Jackson, Brian, Derrick, and Terry are all intelligent and experiencing great success in their careers. The men date lots of different women but always try to put their friendship first. One of the men announces he is going to get married and that leads the other three to begin to question their romantic life choices. They also begin to reach out to the women in their lives and they begin to learn a lot about who they are and where they came from.

Each man experiences shocking revelations about his past and childhood throughout the course of the film. One character is stunned to learn that his mother drank while she was pregnant with him. Another man gets into a fight with his mother over her lack of maternal feelings towards him. Another character is a successful doctor who finds drama in his career when he starts to fall in love with the sister of a patient.

The men are all worried that the impeding character’s marriage is going to ruin their tight friendship. One of the other men is already married but his marriage is in trouble and his wife seems not to love him anymore. He is worried that his friend will go through the same fate. Another pal is a complete commitment-phobe and worries that his friend’s impending nuptials will make his girlfriend press him for commitment. Another friend is a pure player who goes from woman to woman with abandon. At the end of the movie, all the men realize the importance of love and friendship.
