The First Wives Club is a comedic film from the mid-nineties based on the book of the same name written by Olivia Goldsmith. The film stars female comedic icons Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton, and Bette Midler as three old friends that come together after the death of a friend. They reunite and bond over the fact that they have all been divorced by husbands that want a newer and curvier model.

The husbands are played by Dan Hedaya, Victor Garber, and Stephen Collins and the new lovers are played by Marcia Gay Harden, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Elizabeth Berkley rounding out the all-star cast. The three decide to form the First Wives Club with one intent: to get revenge on their deceitful, lying, and cheating ex-husbands. They carefully ruin the businesses of their spouses and use sensitive information to help ruin their futures.

They end up redirecting their anger and putting the funds to good use, but not before hilarious comedy ensues and a massive tangled web emerges.The changing dynamic of the relationships of the women with each other and their respective ex-husbands adds a feel good element to the movie.
