Egyptologist Professor Morlant is dying, and his assistant is to bury him in a faux Egyptian tomb with a sacred jewel. The professor believes The Eternal Light, when presented to Anubis (god of the afterlife), will bring the bearer immortality. Meanwhile, Morlant's relatives believe the gem will bring them a pretty penny at a jeweler's. Morlant warns he'll seek revenge on the pilferer of his precious stone. But a grave robber takes the risk, and the professor is forced out of his peaceful afterlife retirement. This was the first British film to receive the Film Censors' H rating for Horrific.
