Watch The Gospel of John

"For God loved the world So much..."

This is a story about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Henry Ian Cusick), told through the eyes of John the Baptist. It starts out with John being questioned as to exactly who he is and what he considered himself to be. John is further asked about his intentions and why he wants to baptize others. Not long after, Jesus approaches John and offers himself up to be baptized, which prompts John to recognize Jesus as the Lamb of God. During the next few days, Jesus is beginning to round up His disciples, all of them recognizing Him, from Peter, to Andrew, to Nathaniel, just to name a few.

Jesus, His mother and His disciples are all invited to a wedding in Galilee, where the wine runs out. Mary (Diana Berriman), the mother of Jesus, told Him about it, however, Jesus tries to explain to Mary that it was not His time yet. Jesus eventually performs His very first miracle here on earth, by turning water into wine.

The Passover is drawing near and Jesus decides to head to Jerusalem with His disciples, it is there at the temple that viewers witnesses the anger that Jesus Christ could muster as He over turns tables for the money changers and chases all of the animals out.

Jesus heads for Sumeria to communicate with the Pharisees, where He decides to stop at Jacob's well. While His disciples go into town to buy food, Jesus encountered a Samaritan woman who He asked for some water. The woman questions the fact that Jesus would ask her for water, especially since He is a Jew and she is a Samaritan.

As His disciples returned, Jesus identified Himself as the Messiah. This Bible biography is directed by Philip Saville and has supporting roles by Stuart Bunce as John, Daniel Kash as Simon Peter and Alan Van Sprang as Judas Iscariot.
