"There is no defense."

The Juror is a dramatic film with a bit of romance mixed in. It stars Demi Moore and Alec Baldwin. Demi Moore plays Annie, a single mother who lives in New York with her young son. One day, she is picked to be a part of a jury for the trial of a Mafia boss. Annie is an aspiring artist and one day she sells some pieces to a man named Mark. Mark flirts with Annie and asks her out. Flattered, she agrees and the couple begins to date.

Eventually, Mark tells Annie that he actually works for the Mafia boss and if Annie does not persuade her fellow jurors to acquit the boss, she and her young son will be killed. Annie does what Mark tells her to do. After the trial, the Mafia boss decides that Annie should be killed to prevent her from changing her mind and going to the feds. Mark has started to fall in love with Annie so he refuses. Instead, Mark decides to go after a friend of Annie’s to scare her into testifying. He kills Annie’s friend and then brags about it to his partner in crime.

Annie is extremely fearful so she sends her son to Guatemala to hide out from Mark and the Mafia. The district attorney is also placing pressure on Annie to get information about the mob. Annie wears a wire but ends up taking it off and giving to Mark’s partner. She tells them she wants him to leave her and her family alone. However, she is also wearing a secret tape recorder and she ends up capturing evidence of Mark’s crime. Mark is furious when he finds all this out. He has discovered that Annie’s son is in Guatemala and he heads there to kill him. Annie chases him down and ends up killing him before he can harm her son.
