Watch The Old Dark House

One of the first in this genre and inspiring decades of similar films The Old Dark House is an interesting and suspenseful look at early horror comedies. Featuring Charles Laughton's Hollywood debut and created by the classic pairing of James Whale and Carl Laemmle, Jr. the story starts with a group of people seeking refuge from a storm in the Welsh countryside. Finding themselves in a sinister mansion with the even more sinister Femm family in residence the guests uneasily settle in as they have little choice. With danger at every turn will they be able to survive the night?
