The Road

"In a moment the world changed forever."

The film, The Road, is about a father and his son that struggle to live when the plants and animals die around him. Due to all these respective deaths, many people are struggling to survive. They survivors have been scavenging around for food, and have resorted to cannibalism. The duo walk along the road as they look for supplies. They only have two bullets for their gun. They begin to show the audience flashbacks, and it's revealed the man's wife had another child after the animals had died. She ended killing herself.

To protect themselves, they have to kill someone from a cannibal gang. When they go into a mansion, there are prisoners being held in the basement as a food source. The duo hide from the captors, and the man thinks he may have to kill his son. That does not happen and the duo is able to escape. When they get a little further down the road, they find a whole bunch of supplies and food. They are not only able to fed themselves as they are able to groom themselves too. When they hear noises, they decide it's time to go.

They end up feeding a blind man they bump into on the road. When the duo gets to the coast, the father goes into an abandon ship to see what he can find. When his son falls asleep, they get robbed of their food and other valuables. The father is able to take all the stuff back from the robber and this includes the robber's clothes. The boy is upset about robbing the thief and so they return a can of food to him as well as his clothes.

When they go through an abandon town, the man is hit in the leg with an arrow. The man is able to kill the attacker with a flare gun that was on the ship. Since the father is now weak, he cannot carry around his possessions anymore. When he realizes he's dying, he tells his son about the importance of humanity. When the father dies, the son gets an offer to join a couple with two kids and a dog. You will have to see the film to see how it ends!
