The Sword in the Stone

Based on the book The Once and Future King by T. H. White, The Sword in the Stone is a comedic Disney classic but also with touching moments and life lessons. Set in 6th century England, King Pendragon has passed away without leaving an heir to the throne and war has ensued. A mysterious sword embedded in a stone has appeared with the proclamation: 'Whoso Pulleth Out This Sword of this Stone and Anvil, is Rightwise King Born of All England.' With no one succeeding, they are forgotten and the wars and darkness of the Middle Ages continues.

Much later, a young orphan boy called Wart by all of the knights is desperate to become a squire or knight's assistant. However he is clumsy in his youth and is picked on by those around him, including Kay, his older foster brother. During a botched hunting trip the young Arthur finds himself in the midst of Merlin's cottage, seeing the boys’ latent potential he then decides to take the boy under his wing and they return to Arthur's home.

Will the boy ever become more than just 'Wart,' and what will the castle and countryside make of Merlin's magic?
