"The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe" is a 1972 French comedy film directed by Yves Robert, written by Francis Veber, and starring Pierre Richard, Jean Rochefort, and Bernard Blier. The film tells the story of chief Louis Toulouse, who has been horribly framed by France's second-in-command of the Espionage department, Bernard Milan. A French heroin smuggler has recently been arrested in New York City and he claims that he smuggled drugs for a secret mission on the orders of Toulouse's department, the French Counter-Espionage. However, it was actually Milan's orders that prompted the drug smuggling, but no one believes Toulouse's innocence. Can Milan succeed in his plan to become chief, or will his plan backfire?
