Thunderbolt

"The stakes don't come much higher"

A 1995 Hong Kong action film with Jackie Chan as the lead actor, Thunderbolt is a movie set around auto racing. Jackie Chan plays Chan Foh To, a mechanic who is a part time race car driver. He helps the Hong Kong Police in their crackdown of the illegal street racers. One day, he crosses path with a psychotic street racer, Krugerman, who tries to escape the police, but is chased and stopped by Chan. Krugerman kidnaps Chan's family, destroys his business, and to get them all back, Chan has to confront him in a race. The racing and fight scenes are gripping worth watching.

The film is quite unique, for it has a lot of car racing, something Chan is not particularly known for. The film is multilingual and has the characters speaking in Japanese, English and Cantonese. The movie also has Anita Yuen, who is caught between her love for Chan and a temptation of big scoop.
