Way of the Wicked is a 2014 supernatural thriller directed by Kevin Carraway and starring Vinnie Jones, Christian Slater, and Emily Tennant. The movie takes place in a small town called St. Michael, where a string of murders have taken place, and the townsfolk suspect that the killings are part of a ritual sacrifice. When two young boys, Robbie (Jake Croker) and his younger brother Nolan (Connor Stanhope) move into the town with their mother, they become embroiled in the investigation as Robbie begins to exhibit strange supernatural powers.

The film begins with a prologue set in the 17th century, where Father Henry Young (Jones) and his followers are seen performing a ritual sacrifice. The town is shocked by the events and Young is imprisoned. The film then moves forward to present-day St. Michael, where Father Farrell (Slater) is investigating a string of murders that seems to have a link to the ritual sacrifice from centuries ago.

Robbie and Nolan's mother, Heather (Leah Gibson), is the local sheriff's (Matt Bellefleur) right-hand woman, and when Robbie is caught in the act of breaking into a church, Farrell takes an interest in him. Farrell starts to suspect that Robbie is the key to the murders, especially when he starts exhibiting supernatural powers. Robbie finds himself torn between Farrell and Young, who has returned to the town after being released from prison, and who requests to see Robbie.

Throughout the movie, the tension builds as Farrell and Young appear to be playing a game of cat and mouse, with Robbie being caught in the middle. As Robbie's powers become stronger, the townspeople become increasingly afraid of him, and Farrell and Young's true motives are revealed. In the end, it becomes a race against time to stop the ritual sacrifice before it's too late.

One of the main strengths of the movie is the performances by the three main actors. Vinnie Jones brings a necessary gravitas to the role, while Christian Slater plays the role of the charismatic priest with ease. Emily Tennant also delivers a solid performance as Heather's daughter, who becomes romantically involved with Robbie.

The cinematography is also noteworthy, with the beautifully shot scenery of the small town adding to the eerie and unsettling atmosphere of the movie. Director Kevin Carraway manages to keep the tension high throughout the movie, building up to a satisfying finale.

Overall, Way of the Wicked is a solid supernatural thriller that manages to keep the viewer engaged and invested in the story. While it may not break any new ground in the genre, it is a well-crafted movie that will appeal to fans of the genre.

Way of the Wicked is a 2014 thriller with a runtime of 1 hour and 32 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.8.
