Robbie finds himself torn between Farrell and Young, who has returned to the town after being released from prison, and who requests to see Robbie.

Throughout the movie, the tension builds as Farrell and Young appear to be playing a game of cat and mouse, with Robbie being caught in the middle. As Robbie's powers become stronger, the townspeople become increasingly afraid of him, and Farrell and Young's true motives are revealed.
