Set in the aftermath of the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, Baghdad Central follows the story of Muhsin al-Khafaji, a former Iraqi police officer turned mechanic who is desperately searching for his missing daughter. In episode 4, tensions continue to rise in Baghdad as the city suffers from a lack of electricity and basic supplies. Muhsin finds himself caught between two warring factions as he attempts to locate his daughter.

The episode opens with Muhsin meeting with his former police colleague, Umm Hanadi. She reveals to him that she knows about Sawsan, Muhsin's missing daughter, and offers to help him find her. Meanwhile, Mrouj, the daughter of a wealthy businessman, is kidnapped from her school, and her father hires Muhsin to investigate the crime.

As Muhsin digs deeper into Mrouj's disappearance, he discovers that her kidnapping is connected to a larger political conspiracy. Muhsin finds himself caught between two powerful factions vying for control in post-invasion Iraq. On one side is the corrupt and violent Colonel Nawzad, who is backed by the Americans. On the other side is the militant Shiite cleric, Muqtada al-Sadr, who is rallying Shia militias to resist the American occupation.

As Muhsin navigates the dangerous and confusing world of post-invasion Iraq, he is forced to confront his own moral compromises and question his allegiances. He discovers that his own actions as a policeman before the invasion may have contributed to the chaos that currently engulfs the country.

The tension continues to mount as Muhsin finds himself in the crossfire between Colonel Nawzad's men and the Shia militias. He must use all of his wit and resourcefulness to stay alive and find a way to rescue Mrouj and find his own daughter before it's too late.

Overall, episode 4 of Baghdad Central is a tense and gripping installment in this compelling series. The complex political landscape of post-invasion Iraq is vividly portrayed, as are the human tolls of the war. The characters are compelling and well-drawn, and the performances are uniformly excellent. This is a show that is not afraid to grapple with big themes and ask tough questions about the morality of war and occupation.
