Ep 2. Baby, Bedroom or Bust

He mixes geometric patterns and points of interest in the room, including a distressed wooden barn door and a painted wall art inspired by the tribal print. Michael also makes an outstanding feature wall with a large variety of beautifully styled Macramé wall hangings. Overall, Michael's design is inviting, cosy and unique.

The second contestant, Jen, is a blogger and a design enthusiast. She takes on the challenge by blending a pink, white and grey colour palette with an accent wall featuring a large piece of art. To create more space in the room, Jen uses a minimalistic inspired furniture, incorporating a baby crib, a practical chair and an elegant bookcase on the bookshelf. She also uses different accessories to create texture and interest in the room, including the use of fluffy pillows, throw pillows and rugs. Jen's overall approach to design is contemporary and inviting.

After the completion of each challenge day, the homeowners enter the room to review and provide feedback on their impressions of each room. In this episode, the owners of the room were a young family with a baby.

At the end of the three-day competition, Genevieve meets separately with the homeowners to hear their thoughts and decide who they thought did the best job in transforming the room into a functional and beautiful space.

After much deliberation, the showdown commences, and Genevieve announces the winner. The winning designer takes home a cash prize of $10,000, and the respect of peers and competitors alike.
