Blindspot is a riveting action-thriller television series created by Martin Gero, produced by Warner Bros. Television, and broadcast on NBC from 2015 to 2020. The show centers around a woman with amnesia, whose body is found in a duffel bag in Times Square, covered in mysterious tattoos that seem to provide clues to imminent terrorist attacks and international conspiracies.

Sullivan Stapleton, known for his previous roles in 300: Rise of an Empire and Strike Back, stars as the rugged and brooding FBI agent Kurt Weller who is called in to investigate the bizarre case of the Jane Doe with the tattoos. Jaimie Alexander, who previously starred in Thor and Kyle XY, plays the enigmatic and skilled Jane Doe, who suffers from complete memory loss and has no idea who she is or how she ended up with such elaborate body art.

The storyline follows the FBI team, under the direction of Assistant Director Bethany Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste), as they gradually unravel the mystery of Jane's tattoos and try to stop the impending attacks. Along with Weller, the team consists of tech-savvy Patterson (Ashley Johnson), tough street agent Tasha Zapata (Audrey Esparza), profiler Edgar Reade (Rob Brown), and a host of supporting characters, many of whom have their own hidden agendas and personal demons to overcome.

As the show progresses, Jane begins to recover memories and reveal her identity, which leads to shocking revelations about her past, her connections to various criminal organizations, and the true motivation behind her tattoos. The show also explores the complex relationships between the team members and the ethical dilemmas that arise when they are forced to make tough decisions in high-pressure situations.

The action sequences in Blindspot are intense and frequent, with gunfights, car chases, and hand-to-hand combat featuring prominently in every episode. The show's realism is enhanced by its use of practical effects and stunts, with minimal reliance on CGI or green screen. The show's locations, which span across New York City and other international destinations, also add to its cinematic quality.

One of the show's most innovative and engaging elements is the incorporation of anagrams and ciphers into the plot, with hidden messages and clues woven into the tattoos on Jane's body. This unique puzzle-solving aspect of the show has garnered a dedicated following amongst fans, who enjoy decoding the messages and trying to predict the outcome of the plot twists.

Blindspot's cast is highly talented and brings depth and nuance to their characters, elevating the show above your average crime procedural. Alexander, in particular, is a standout, portraying Jane's vulnerability and strength with equal conviction. The show also features notable guest stars, including Archie Panjabi, Luke Mitchell, Michelle Hurd, and Ukweli Roach, who add complexity and interest to the plot.

Overall, Blindspot is a thrilling and addictive series that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. Its combination of action, mystery, and emotional drama makes it a standout in the crowded TV landscape.

Blindspot is a series that is currently running and has 5 seasons (101 episodes). The series first aired on September 21, 2015.
