Bowl Bash: The BCS On FOX Season 2009 Episode 2 Allstate Sugar Bowl (Utah vs. Alabama)

The Allstate Sugar Bowl features the Utah Utes taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 75th edition of the Classic at the Louisiana Superdome. Undefeated Mountain West Conference champion Utah (12-0, 8-0 MWC) looks for competition after running through their conference behind a strong, powerful defense. Alabama (12-1, 8-0 SEC) is led by a tremendous defense which has allowed just 256.9 yards (third in the nation) and 13.0 points (sixth in the nation) per game. The last time the Crimson Tide played a team from the Mountain West the game ended with a 38-31 win over BYU in 1998. The Utes have never beaten an SEC team, having lost three times to Tennessee, twice to LSU and once to Florida. This will be the first meeting ever between the two schools.
