In Comet Lucifer season 1 episode 1, titled "The Boy and the Vast Land," we are introduced to a young miner named Sogo Amagi. Sogo lives in a world where people mine for crystals that hold mysterious powers, but his real passion is for photography. Despite his love for capturing the beauty of the world around him, Sogo is discontent with his life in the mines and dreams of something more.

One day, while exploring the mines with his best friend Kaon, Sogo stumbles upon a strange, glowing crystal. Before he has a chance to fully investigate, a giant mecha suddenly appears and attacks them. In the chaos, Sogo and Kaon are separated, and Sogo finds himself lost in a vast, unknown land.

As he wanders alone, Sogo encounters a young girl named Felia, who seems to have a magical connection to the crystals. Sogo is intrigued by the mysterious girl and decides to help her find her way back home. Together, they navigate the dangerous terrain and face other mecha that are determined to capture Felia.

Meanwhile, Kaon is rescued by a powerful man named Roman, who is searching for the same magical crystal that Sogo discovered. Kaon is determined to find Sogo and sets off to track him down.

As the episode progresses, the characters' paths converge and secrets are revealed about Felia's true nature and the significance of the crystal.
