Ep 14. Last of the Time Lords

The Doctor, Martha, and Jack Harkness return to present-day Earth at the end of the year 2008 to face their final battle against The Master, a corrupt Time Lord who had survived the Time War and lived long enough to regenerate, and was now ruling the world disguised as Harold Saxon, the newly-elected British Prime Minister. The Master unleashes his final plan, The Toclafane, a group of spheres that he had kept hidden in TARDIS blueprints, that come to Earth and begin to exterminate humanity. The Doctor is captured and imprisoned, left unable to use his TARDIS or regenerate, while The Master prepares to execute his final solution to avenge the Time Lords.

In this episode, Martha Jones finally returns to Earth, after spending a year travelling the world and spreading a message of hope across the planet as instructed by the Doctor. After finding the Doctor imprisoned and tortured, she teams up with Jack Harkness to save him. Together, they form a resistance movement against The Master's regime, hiding in the shadows and coordinating a plan to defeat him. The stakes are high, and the fate of the entire planet is at stake.
