The Doctor travels back in time to the planet Skaro, where he finds himself in the midst of a war between the Kaleds and the Thals. He is sent on a mission by the Time Lords to prevent the creation of the Daleks, a race of genetically engineered mutants that will go on to terrorize the universe. The Doctor infiltrates the Kaleds and gains the trust of the creator of the Daleks, Davros, who is using his knowledge of science and technology to create the ultimate weapon in the war. The Doctor is faced with a moral dilemma as he realizes that he must choose between saving the lives of millions of innocent people by stopping the creation of the Daleks, or allowing them to be created in order to prevent a temporal paradox. As the Kaleds and Thals engage in a battle for survival, the Doctor races against time to prevent the Daleks from being created, even if it means sacrificing himself in the process. With the help of his companion Sarah Jane Smith and a group of rebels, the Doctor faces his greatest challenge yet as he battles Davros and his creations in a thrilling adventure that will leave fans on the edge of their seats.
