In Fast Food Mania season 1 episode 10, titled "Extreme Locations," host John Hein travels to some of the most unique and unusual fast food locations around the country. From a McDonald's in an airplane to a Burger King on a military base, Hein explores the inventive ways fast food chains are reaching new customers in unexpected places.

The episode begins with Hein visiting the world's smallest McDonald's, located inside a decommissioned airplane at an aviation museum in California. He meets with the museum's director to learn more about how the fast food chain partnered with the museum to create the unique food experience. Hein also speaks with customers who are thrilled to have the opportunity to grab a Big Mac while learning about aviation history.

Next, Hein heads to a Burger King located inside a military base in New Jersey. He meets with soldiers who talk about the convenience of having a fast food restaurant on base, as well as the challenges of running a business in such a highly-regulated environment. Hein also speaks with the franchise owner about the decision to open a location on a military base.

The episode then takes a turn to the extreme as Hein visits a Taco Bell in one of the most remote locations in America - the middle of the Alaskan wilderness. He speaks with the franchise owner about the unique challenges of running a fast food restaurant in a location where supplies have to be brought in by plane. Hein also meets with locals who rely on the Taco Bell for a taste of home in a place where dining options are few and far between.

As the episode continues, Hein visits a Pizza Hut located inside an Oxford, Mississippi gas station, and a Wendy's inside a travel plaza on the New Jersey Turnpike. He explores how these fast food chains are finding creative ways to reach customers in unexpected places.

Finally, Hein ends the episode with a visit to one of the most unlikely fast food locations - inside a church. He speaks with the pastor of a Virginia church who decided to open a Chick-fil-A in the church's basement as a way to both provide a service to the community and generate revenue for the church. Hein also meets with customers who appreciate the convenience of being able to grab a bite to eat while attending services.

Throughout the episode, Hein's enthusiasm for the world of fast food is infectious, as he explores the ways in which these restaurants are constantly pushing the boundaries of where and how they can operate. With each location he visits, Hein showcases the ingenuity and creativity of the fast food industry, proving that there truly is no limit to where you can find a delicious burger or tacos.
