Jay Mohr played the role of Roland Hill, an ally of the task force who often provided illegal guns and other resources to Van and Deaq. Roland had a rough past and was a former drug dealer turned arms dealer. He had a deep admiration for Van's work and would go to great lengths to help him succeed.

The rest of the cast included Mark Famiglietti as Alex, a former cop-turned-criminal who often found himself working alongside Van and Deaq when they needed his expertise, Big Boy as Aquarius, one of the duo's street informants, and Vondie Curtis-Hall as Andre Hayes, Deaq's estranged father, who was also an ex-con.

The show had a unique and edgy style, incorporating a lot of flashy, music-video-style sequences and visuals, adding to the show's overall appeal. The show's signature was its fast cars, showcasing Van's pair of supercharged cars, a Ford Shelby Cobra Mustang GT500 and a Dodge Viper GTS, which were both used in some of the show's epic car chases.
