In Go Nagai's The Devil Lady season 1 episode 5, titled "Shark," we see Jun Fudo, the protagonist and Devil Lady, face a new challenge. Jun is a model by profession, but she also transforms into a devil to fight against different types of demons that have infiltrated human society.
At the start of the episode, we see a deep-sea fishing boat is attacked by a mysterious creature. The survivors describe the creature as a giant shark that was unlike anything they'd seen before. Jun's manager asks her to investigate the incident, as it could be a great opportunity for her to get some scoop and publicity.
Jun accepts the offer and goes undercover on a fishing boat, wearing a wetsuit and scuba gear. After some time, a giant shark, the same one that had attacked the previous boat, appears. Jun transforms into the Devil Lady and dives into the water to fight against the shark.
The fight between Jun and the shark is intense and ferocious. The shark is massive and seems almost invincible, requiring all of Jun's powers to fight against it. We see Jun using her agility and strength to attack the shark, but the creature is almost unyielding, and it seems like Jun might not have the ability to defeat the shark.
As the fight continues, a new demon appears. It's a humanoid creature with a shark's head and body that can manipulate water. This new creature aids the giant shark and attacks Jun. However, Jun is not one to be easily defeated, so she fights back using her powers and with the help of her Devil Beast.
The Demon Lady's Devil Beast is a mythical creature with the power to produce lightning. The creature attacks the shark and the humanoid creature, leaving them vulnerable to Jun's attacks. With combined efforts, Jun and her Devil Beast finally defeat the two demons, saving the day.
The fight scenes in this episode are superbly animated, and the sound effects are well-balanced to create a cinematic experience. The tension and suspense are well-timed, and the pacing of the episode is well-planned to keep the audience engaged throughout. Overall, episode five of Go Nagai's The Devil Lady is one of the best in the season, showcasing the show's excellent animation, plot, and pacing.
