Ep 8. The Last Grenelle

In this episode of God Friended Me, Miles and his team are faced with a new challenge after initially being connected with a woman named Louise Grenelle. Louise is searching for her missing brother, who she believes has been kidnapped by her ex-husband. Miles and Rakesh dig deeper into the case, but soon come to realize that there is more to the story than meets the eye.

Meanwhile, Cara is hired to film an "anthropological study" of the bartending industry, including a day in the life of her friend Eli. As she spends the day shadowing Eli, Cara learns more about the struggles of those who work in the service industry and how important it is to support them.

Back to the case of Louise Grenelle, Miles and Rakesh eventually discover that her brother has been involved in some shady business with her ex-husband, and that his disappearance may have been related to illegal gambling debts. As they try to track him down, they encounter a dangerous figure who seems to be involved in the whole ordeal.

Meanwhile, Cara's day with Eli takes a turn when she witnesses a robbery at the bar he works at. She bravely tries to intervene, but ends up getting hurt in the process. This experience ultimately leads her to reevaluate her life and the choices she has made.

In the end, Miles and the team are able to find Louise's brother and reunite him with his sister. Cara also realizes the importance of standing up for what is right and decides to take her career in a new direction. The episode ends with the team feeling a sense of accomplishment and hope for what the future may hold.
