Ep 6. School Trouble

Jennifer Falls season 1 episode 6 named "School Trouble" takes the audience along Jennifer's struggle to strike a balance between her new life as a waitress at the sports bar and motherhood. Jennifer's daughter Gretchen, who is struggling academically, is assigned to Jennifer's rival father-daughter duo, Dina and Mason who own the ice rink. Jennifer is concerned about the assignment as she had had bad blood with the duo, but she can't do anything about it.

Meanwhile, Jennifer is trying to prove herself to her boss Dina, who always undermines her at work. Jennifer reaches her wits end when she takes on a bloke at the bar, thinking he used to play ice hockey, only to realise that he was telling a bogus story. To make matters worse, her friend’s son’s arrival exasperates her problems, and she lashes out at him.

Gretchen's school troubles continue to spiral, and Jennifer turns to her boss for help. However, her request is denied, and she is forced to seek Dina's help at the ice rink. She tags along with Gretchen in the name of supporting her daughter through the rink's mandatory practice. But things take a different turn as she meets the ice rink coach who finds her interesting. The coach invites her for drinks later, and Jennifer lies to her daughter about their destination.

At the rink, Jennifer is hit by nostalgia as she is reminded of the days she used to play ice hockey. Her nostalgia, coupled with Dina's constant jeers and little sensitivity, leads her to make a terrible mistake that results in her breaking her daughter's confidence. She reveals to her daughter that she is not only a lousy waitress but also a sarcastic woman who is always dismissed by her boss, Dina.

Jennifer's blunder is followed by hilarious events as she tries to apologise. In the end, Jennifer makes amends by assuring her daughter that she is and will always be her number one priority, no matter what her job is.

Overall, Jennifer Falls season 1 episode 6 is an excellent addition to the series, and it is perfect for those who love comedic yet heartfelt storylines. It is full of hilarious moments that will leave viewers in stitches, yet it does not shy away from tackling tough issues that arise from being a working mother. The episode is well-written, and it showcases Jaime Pressly's natural acting talent. If you have not watched the episode yet, it is definitely worth a watch.
