Ep 1. Light-Years From Home

Following the events of the first season, Krypton season 2 episode 1, "Light-Years From Home," picks up with Seg-El being stuck in the Phantom Zone. His fate is unknown to his friends and family on Krypton, especially Lyta-Zod, who was imprisoned for her role in the rebellion. Meanwhile, Brainiac has taken control of Kandor City and its citizens. With their city under occupation, the remaining rebels are forced to take refuge in the Outlands and launch covert attacks on Brainiac's forces. Dev-Em and Jax-Ur, Seg's allies, desperately attempt to find a way to bring him back from the Phantom Zone. However, they are forced to contend with the possibility that Seg has succumbed to the madness that has driven so many other prisoners of the Phantom Zone insane.

Meanwhile, on another planet light-years away, we meet Adam Strange, who has received a strange message that has led him to the planet Rann. Strange is a scientist from Earth who has made a name for himself as a defender of the universe. He finds himself in the middle of a civil war between the Rebels and the Dominion, who seeks to conquer all the known worlds. Strange has come seeking information about a threat to the universe, but his visit to Rann will bring him closer to events on Krypton than he could ever have imagined.

The addition of Adam Strange to the Kryptonian story brings a new aspect to the show. Strange's scientific expertise and knowledge of different worlds provide a new perspective on the universe and the threats that Krypton faces. For the Kryptonians, Strange is a novelty, an outsider who they cannot quite understand, but who might provide some much-needed insight into their predicament.
