The Mahabharata Minis Season 1 Episode 7 tells the story of Drona, one of the most renowned characters in the Hindu mythology. Drona is not only a warrior but also a teacher who trains young princes in various military arts.

The episode begins with the birth of Drona, a Brahmin boy born to a sage named Bharadwaja. Drona's mother, who is the daughter of one of the most prominent kings, leaves him in the care of her father and returns to her kingdom. Drona grows up under his grandfather's guidance, and Bharadwaja teaches him all the Vedic knowledge and the art of warfare.

After completing his education, Drona is unable to support himself and his aging father. So, he goes to a neighboring kingdom, where he meets the King, Drupada, who was his childhood friend. Drupada is overjoyed to see Drona, but he refuses to help him financially, as Drona is a Brahmin and a Kshatriya's help would be considered a bad omen. Feeling insulted, Drona leaves the kingdom.

Drona then decides to make a living teaching the art of warfare. He establishes his ashram and begins to teach the princes of various kingdoms, including the Pandavas and the Kauravas. He becomes their mentor and imparts them with the knowledge of various military arts.

One day, Drona hears of King Drupada's grand Yagya. He decides to visit the kingdom and meets Drupada at the Yagya. Drupada feels ashamed of his previous behavior and apologizes to Drona. However, Drona is not so pleased with this and asks Drupada to fulfill his wish of giving him half of his kingdom.

Drupada feels insulted and refuses to oblige. Drona then tells Drupada that he would take revenge on him and would need the help of the Pandavas and Kauravas to do so.

The episode then takes us through the battle between the Kauravas and Pandavas and King Drupada's army. Drona leads the Kauravas, whereas King Drupada leads his own army. The Pandavas are on the side of King Drupada. Drona's strategy and his ability to launch attacks from different directions leave Drupada's army in utter chaos. Drupada is captured by Drona, who then humiliates him by making him the prisoner.

The episode concludes with Drona's vow to take revenge on Drupada. He tells the Pandavas and the Kauravas that he would seek their help in the future. Drona's story of determination and revenge is a captivating one, with a reminder of the significance of friendships, honor, and humility.
