Ep 14. Maui, HI

In Man v. Food season 5 episode 14, host Casey Webb travels to Maui, Hawaii to take on some of the island's biggest and most delicious food challenges. He starts off with a classic Hawaiian dish - the Loco Moco. Made up of a hamburger patty, a fried egg, rice and gravy, this dish is a staple in Hawaiian cuisine. But this challenge is no ordinary Loco Moco. At Da Kitchen, Casey takes on the "Triple D Loco Moco Challenge", a version of the dish that weighs in at a whopping five pounds! Will he be able to finish this massive plate of food in under 30 minutes and secure his spot on the wall of fame?

Next, Casey heads to Tin Roof, a food truck that has become a local favorite for its delicious and unique dishes. He tries their famous "Broke Da Mouth" Nachos, which are piled high with kalua pork, cheese, avocado, and other toppings. But that's not all - Tin Roof also offers a challenge called the "XTreme Loco Moco Challenge", which consists of three Loco Mocos stacked on top of each other, all covered in gravy and topped with a fried egg. This challenge is not for the faint of heart and only a handful of people have ever completed it. Will Casey be one of them?

For his final challenge in Maui, Casey heads to the town of Lahaina to try his hand at a massive sushi roll. At Miso Phat Sushi, he takes on the "Phat Ass Ultimate Roll Challenge", which consists of a 10-pound sushi roll that is stuffed with a vast variety of ingredients including spam, chicken katsu, and avocado. This is a true test of Casey's eating abilities, as he must finish the roll in under 45 minutes and keep it down without getting sick. Will he be able to conquer this massive sushi roll and emerge victorious?

Along the way, Casey also samples some of the best BBQ on the island at Fat Daddy's Smokehouse, tries his hand at making shave ice at Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice, and visits Aunty Sandy's Banana Bread for some tasty treats. The episode showcases the beauty of Maui and its unique food culture, as well as the immense challenges that await those who attempt to conquer its massive portions.
