In season 6 episode 20 of Man v. Food, host Casey Webb travels to San Francisco, California, to explore the city's culinary scene and tackle some of its biggest food challenges.

The episode begins with Casey visiting Cafe Zoetrope, a restaurant owned by famed director Francis Ford Coppola. There, he tries their famous spaghetti and meatballs, which are made with a blend of pork, beef, and veal. Casey praises the dish for its perfectly cooked pasta and flavorful meatballs, and even gets to meet Coppola himself.

Next up, Casey heads to the Fisherman's Wharf area where he samples some of the city's famous clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. He visits both Boudin Bakery and Fisherman's Grotto, two establishments that claim to have invented the dish in San Francisco. Casey enjoys the creamy chowder and crispy sourdough bread, and declares both places winners in his book.

Moving on to the challenges, Casey visits The Codmother Fish and Chips, a British-style fish and chips spot in San Francisco's Sunset District. There, he takes on the restaurant's "Motherlode Challenge," which involves eating three pounds of fish and chips in under an hour. Casey struggles with the greasy and heavy meal, but manages to finish just in time to beat the clock.

Casey's next challenge takes him to the Starbelly restaurant in the Castro neighborhood, where he takes on the "Big Chef Burger Challenge." This massive burger is made with a double patty, cheddar cheese, bacon, pickles, and special sauce, and is served with a side of fries and a beer. Casey struggles with the size of the burger, but manages to finish it off and declare it one of the best burgers he's had on the show.

For his final challenge, Casey visits the Cable Car City Pub and Cafe in North Beach, where he attempts to eat a giant burrito that weighs in at five pounds. The burrito is stuffed with rice, beans, cheese, meat, and guacamole, and is served with chips and salsa. Casey struggles with the sheer size of the burrito, but manages to finish the entire thing and earn his place on the restaurant's wall of fame.

Overall, San Francisco proves to be a city with a diverse and delicious food scene, and Casey is up to the challenge of trying some of its biggest and best offerings.
