Tandy is initially skeptical of Tyrone's idealism and tries to distance herself from him, but cannot ignore their deepening connection. Tyrone, in turn, is initially hesitant to embrace his powers and is burdened by the knowledge of the corrupt world they live in. Tyrone's parents, Adina (played by Gloria Reuben) and Michael (played by Miles Mussenden), are both prominent lawyers who are dealing with their own secrets and betrayals.
