As the holiday season continues, the Quinn family gathers for their annual Christmas Eve dinner. But tensions are high when Matt's youngest sister, Emmy, brings her new boyfriend, Sean, to meet the family for the first time. Matt is immediately wary of Sean, a laid-back musician with unconventional ideas and piercings, and tensions only escalate when Sean invites the family to a late-night jam session.

Meanwhile, Todd struggles to find the perfect gift for his wife, Dona, and turns to Sean for advice. But Sean's unconventional ideas lead Todd down a path that ends in disaster, and he must figure out how to make things right before it's too late.

Elsewhere, Patsy struggles to connect with her teenage daughter, Kayla, who is more interested in her phone than spending time with her family. And when Kayla's boyfriend shows up unexpectedly, Patsy's attempts to bond with her daughter only push her further away.

As the night goes on, secrets are revealed and tensions come to a head, but in the end, the family comes together to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
