Ep 4. George Eliot: Rural Britain - A Novel Approach

George Eliot's novels take us to the Industrial Midlands and the Black Country. A toughness in the work of this author would suggest a masculine writer, but this was the pen name of Mary Ann Evans, a well-educated Victorian lady who was years ahead of her time. She wrote about the Industrial heartland and Midland's countryside, many of those locations remain unspoiled to the present day.
