Ep 2. Judge and Fury

In the second episode of South of Hell season 1, we are introduced to a new demon named Gahenna, who has been sent to capture Maria Abascal. As Maria and her brother David prepare for a night out, they can't help but feel constant paranoia that demons are following them.

Meanwhile, a new character named Dusty, who works for a pest control company, stumbles upon some supernatural activity and ends up meeting Maria. Unlike David, Dusty is not afraid of demons and willingly agrees to help Maria and her team with their mission.

Maria and her team are told that Gahenna is on his way, and they prepare to face him head-on. The demon is tasked with judging Maria's soul and sending her to hell, claiming that she has broken a contract with the devil. However, Maria argues that she was never given a fair deal in the first place.

As tensions rise, Maria and Gahenna engage in a heated battle, and Maria discovers that she has special powers that she never knew about. With Dusty's help, Maria is able to defeat Gahenna and once again escape the clutches of the devil.

Throughout the episode, we also learn more about Maria's past and the traumatic events that led her to become a demon hunter. We see her struggle with the guilt of her actions and the constant fear of losing control to the demon inside of her.

Overall, episode 2 of South of Hell is action-packed and full of suspense. We see Maria face her biggest challenge yet and are left wondering what other supernatural forces she will encounter on her journey.
