The Lifer is the seventh episode of the fourth season of Sport Fishing TV. The episode takes place in the Abacos Island, Bahamas, and it focuses on the pursuit of the bonefish. The host of the show, or the angler, is Troy Lindner, and he is accompanied by his father Ron and Captain Buddy Pinder.

The episode starts with Troy and his father flying into the small airport on Abacos Island. The first thing they do is to meet up with their guide, Captain Buddy Pinder. Buddy is a legendary guide, widely recognized as one of the most skilled bonefish guides in the world. He has been guiding bonefish anglers for over 50 years, and he has a wealth of knowledge about the species, including where to find them, what they eat, and how they behave.

After meeting up with Buddy, Troy and his father head out to the flats in search of bonefish. The flats around Abacos Island are some of the most productive bonefish flats in the world, and Buddy knows them like the back of his hand. However, bonefish are notoriously elusive, and even with Buddy's expertise, it takes some time before Troy and his father can hook into their first fish.

When they do, the action is fast and intense. Bonefish are known for their speed and agility, and they put up a fierce fight when hooked. Troy and his father have to work hard to bring the fish to the boat, and they are rewarded with a beautiful 6-pound bonefish that they quickly release back into the water.

The next day, Troy and his father head out with Buddy again, this time targeting some of the larger bonefish that are known to inhabit the deeper water around the island. It takes some time to locate the fish, but when they do, Troy hooks into a massive bonefish that puts up an incredible fight. The fish takes off across the flats, stripping line from the reel at an incredible speed. Troy manages to keep the tension on the line, and after a long battle, he brings the fish to the boat. It weighs in at over 10 pounds, making it one of the largest bonefish Troy has ever caught.

Throughout the episode, Troy and his father talk about their love of fishing and the importance of preserving the fishery for future generations. The Abacos Island has been a popular bonefishing destination for decades, and the three men discuss the importance of responsible fishing practices, such as catch and release, to ensure that the fishery remains healthy for years to come.

Overall, The Lifer is an exciting and informative episode that showcases the incredible bonefishing opportunities available on Abacos Island. With expert guidance from Captain Buddy Pinder, Troy and his father are able to hook into some truly impressive fish and enjoy the thrill of the chase. The episode also provides a valuable reminder of the importance of responsible fishing practices and the need to protect these precious fisheries for future generations.
