In the fifth episode of the first season of Spy in the Wild titled 'Spy in the Wild, Meet the Spies', viewers get introduced to a range of animal spies employed to infiltrate the world of various animals and make extraordinary discoveries. The episode begins as we see a pack of wild dogs in Africa hunting antelopes. One of the dogs approaches an antelope but gets chased away. The camera then reveals that it was not a dog at all but a spy in the shape of a dog. The hidden camera was able to capture spectacular footage of the wild dogs hunting and how they work as a pack.

The next animal spy shown is a spy gorilla whose task is to blend in with the gorilla group and capture the gorillas' behavior. The gorilla spy gets accepted into the group after spending several months with them. The spy gets invited to its first meal by the group and then gets welcomed by one of the young gorillas. The gorilla spy gets up close and personal with the gorillas, allowing the camera to capture their unique habits. From the gorillas, we discover their love for family and that they have their own unique communication skills with each other.

Next, we are introduced to the spy tortoise on a beach in Costa Rica. We are told that the reason for the spy tortoise is to help researchers find out what turtles do when they hatch and crawl to the sea. The spy tortoise is remote-controlled, and the team is very careful in its use so that the turtles do not become intimidated. Instead, the spy tortoise is able to capture extraordinary footage of the turtles and the journey the turtles make, giving researchers insights and learnings on the life cycle of the turtles.

In the next scene, we see a spy hummingbird in the wild jungles of Ecuador. The spy hummingbird is one of the smallest animal spies and is used to capture footage of the various birds. In this particular scene, we are shown how the spy hummingbird can capture footage of an extremely elusive bird called the sword-billed hummingbird. Here we see the filming and how the spy hummingbird is capable of hovering and making 360-degree turns to capture all the angles.

The final spy on this episode is a spy chimpanzee, which was sent out to a group of chimpanzees on the Ivory Coast to study them. The spy chimpanzee works admirably as it stands completely still when it needs to and observes the chimpanzees' interaction with each other intently. Its mission was to gather information on how the chimpanzees' use their curious level of intelligence and how they come up with unique solutions to various problems. We get to experience up close how the chimpanzees interact with each other and how they develop unique skills to solve various challenges in their lives.

The episode 'Spy in the Wild, Meet the Spies' uses various animal spies to capture extraordinary footage of the animals in the wild. The episode demonstrates how these spies are constructed and put in place to infiltrate the animal groups and gain insight into their behavior and the unique skills they possess to survive in the wild.
