Stories of Service is a compelling TV series that aims to tell the stories of courageous men and women who have served in the military. In season 1 episode 6, titled 'Debt of Honor', viewers are taken through an emotional journey of four veterans whose lives were changed forever in Iraq.

The episode begins by highlighting the story of Sgt. 1st Class Mike Schlitz, who was badly injured during a combat mission in 2007. Schlitz lost both arms and sustained severe burns that covered over 85% of his body. Despite the devastating injuries, Schlitz was determined to overcome his challenges, and he continued to serve his country as an advocate for disabled veterans.

Next, the show features the story of Navy SEAL Lt. Jason Redman, who was shot eight times while serving in Iraq. Redman's story is one of grit and resilience, as he went through dozens of surgeries, months of rehabilitation, and numerous setbacks. However, Redman's unwavering determination saw him through, and he eventually founded Wounded Wear, a non-profit that provides clothing and opportunities for wounded veterans.

The third veteran featured in 'Debt of Honor' is Marine Corps Sgt. Kirstie Ennis. Ennis was serving as a helicopter door gunner in Afghanistan when her helicopter crashed. The accident left Kirstie with serious injuries, including a below-the-knee amputation, a broken neck, and facial trauma. However, Kirstie refused to let her injuries define her, and she began competing as a Paralympic snowboarder.

Finally, the episode shares the story of Army Specialist Josh Collins, who was injured in Iraq when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device (IED). Josh lost both legs and his left arm in the attack, but like the other veterans featured in this episode, he refused to give up. Josh became a motivational speaker and started the Josh Collins Foundation, a non-profit that helps veterans with disabilities to pursue their athletic and personal goals.

Throughout 'Debt of Honor', viewers are able to witness the incredible courage and resilience of these four veterans, as well as the challenges that they faced after returning home from Iraq. The episode also explores the ongoing transition that veterans go through as they adjust to civilian life, and the ways in which organizations like Wounded Wear and the Josh Collins Foundation are helping them to overcome those challenges.

In addition to the stories of these four veterans, 'Debt of Honor' also features interviews with other veterans and military personnel, as well as experts and advocates who work to support veterans and their families. Viewers will come away from this episode with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the sacrifices that our military men and women make, as well as the ongoing support and care that they need as they transition back to civilian life.

Overall, 'Debt of Honor' is a powerful and moving episode that showcases the incredible courage and resilience of our nation's veterans.
