The entire plot of the HBO comedy show revolves around Lisa Kudrow's character. She plays a once very popular actress that has fallen on hard times. A few years ago, she played a popular attorney on a television show. Now, the spotlight has faded. The actress is trying to revive her career. The once popular actress has fallen on truly desperate times. Then, an opportunity presents itself to get her career in motion again. The former sitcom actress jumps at the opportunity to do a new reality television show that is called The Comeback.

  • Valerie tries to boost the spirits of the cast member with cookies. Mickey is afraid that Valerie shared secrets with Juna. Valerie works hard to convince Shayne her reality show has what it takes.

  • Valerie decides to enlist a new writer to change a line of Aunt Sassy's. In her personal life she reconsiders a puppy.

  • Valerie invites the cast to a "bonding lunch" right after they finish the first read through for the show. Valerie is offended when Juna doesn't come to the lunch. Later, she learns that Juna is a paparazzi favorite.
