The Rat Patrol

A mid-sixties military action adventure series set in the North African desert during World War II, this show follows three American soldiers who are part of the Long Range Desert Group. They are joined by a British Captain, and together they make life difficult for Axis forces in the form of Field Marshal Rommell's legendary Afrika Korps.

Sgt. Sam Troy (Christopher George) is the clever and resourceful leader of the group. Cpl. Mark T. "Hitch" Hitchcock (Lawrence Casey) is well educated and a bit of a lothario. PFC. Tully Pettigrew (Justin Tarr) is an expert driver thanks to his bootlegging days back in Kentucky. British Sergeant Jack Moffitt (Gary Raymond) is the son of an archaeologist, and therefore an expert in the area and fluent in Arabic.

The show also features Hans Gudegast as the Rat Patrol's primary enemy, Hauptmann Dietrich, a man of honor and intelligence with whom the Rats match wits and even occasionally find themselves collaborating with when circumstances conspire against the rivals.
