Under A Rock with Tig Notaro is a show where the host, Tig Notaro, interviews celebrities whom she doesn't recognize. In season 2 episode 3, Tig sits down with Rich Eisen, a popular sports journalist and host of The Rich Eisen Show.
As with all the other guests on Under A Rock, Tig has no idea who Rich Eisen is. In fact, she initially mistakes him for a sports player. This makes for an entertaining start to their conversation as Tig tries to guess what sport Eisen plays and which team he's on. However, once Tig realizes that Rich Eisen is a broadcaster, she quickly shifts to a more serious tone and begins to ask him about his career.
Throughout the episode, Rich Eisen shares stories about how he got into sports broadcasting and some of the most memorable interviews he's done over the years. He talks about his love for football and how it's been a huge part of his life since he was a kid. Rich also discusses how he balances his work with his family life, including his involvement in his children's sports teams.
Tig, who is not exactly known for her sports knowledge, asks some hilariously clueless questions throughout the conversation. However, her lack of sports expertise doesn't prevent her from having a great rapport with Eisen. The two seem to genuinely enjoy each other's company, and the conversation flows smoothly throughout the episode.
One of the highlights of the episode comes when Tig and Rich play a game where they try to guess the names of different sports teams based solely on their logos.
