Ep 12. The Southern Experience

We see the importance of remaining calm and focused, even when the deer is just a few yards away. Dakota manages to take down a beautiful buck, and expresses his gratitude to Kevin and the team for the unforgettable experience.

The final segment of the episode brings us to Alabama, where we meet Chris Jackson, a lifelong hunter who has turned his passion into a business. Chris takes us on a tour of his extensive hunting lands, which include over 5,000 acres of prime whitetail deer territory. We learn about his strategy for managing the deer population, which includes scouting, feeding and careful monitoring of the herd's health. Chris also shares with us his commitment to ethical hunting practices, such as using only humane weapons and taking special care not to injure the deer unnecessarily.

We then follow Chris and his client, Jim, on their hunt for a trophy buck. Jim is an experienced rifle hunter, but he has never hunted in Alabama before. Chris takes him to a spot that he knows is a good location for a big buck, and Jim eagerly awaits his chance. We see the importance of patience and stealth in hunting, as well as the need for quick and accurate shooting. Jim eventually manages to bring down a giant buck, and is jubilant and grateful for the opportunity.
