"Decoding Alan Turing" (2009) is an American historical documentary. Alan Turing was a Cambridge mathematician who designed and built a crude computer to crack the Nazi Enigma code, so the Allies could learn their movements. Turing's work with "Computable Numbers" eventually led to the development of modern computers. He was also a homosexual in a time and place where that was illegal. Despite his contributions to the defeat of the Nazis, he was persecuted because of his sexual orientation.
