Juwanna Mann

Juawanna Mann is a basketball comedy that is hilariously funny taking place in Charlotte, North Carolina. Jamal Jeffries played by Niguel A. Nunez, Jr. is a professional basketball player who has been suspended from the league for his questionable behavior on and off the court. His love of basketball drives him to plead with his agent Lorne Daniels to get him a try-out opportunity to play on the fictitious WNBA female league the Charlotte Banshees. Meanwhile Jeffries lives with his Aunt Ruby (Jennifer Lewis), and convinces her to help him dress up like a woman for the tryout.

This is where he encounters Michelle (Vivica A .Fox) the star player on the team. He makes the team, but develops feeling for Michelle despite his undercover female appearance. There is a rivalry between the two on the court. At the coach's bequest the two are two learn how to work as a team and become good friends. Michelle has a boyfriend (Ginuwine) who Jamal knows is a player. Meanwhile Michelle convinces Jawanna to go on a double date with her and Romeo, and Puff Smokey Smoke (Tommy Davidson) comes along for Jawanna.

The Banshees go on to win the league championship. Jawanna get so carried away in the momentum of winning, he forgets and makes a slam dunk breaking the backboard and losing the wig revealing himself as Jeffries. Through the experiences with Michelle, Jeffries' behavior has changed, but nobody believes him because he lied about who he was, and it looks like he is still his self-serving old self. The national championship game is at hand, and without one of the star players, Jawanna Mann.

Jeffries shows up at the game and encourages the team, but Michelle is still disgusted. The Banshees win the game. Jeffries agent Lorne presents his case before the basketball league board to try and get him reinstated. A surprise visit from the Banshees at the hearing is good luck for Jeffries. He is reinstated, and he and Michelle get together.
