In the 2006 movie Scooby-Doo! Pirates Ahoy!, the gang sets off on a thrilling adventure to the Bermuda Triangle, where they encounter some of the most notorious pirates to ever sail the high seas. Directed by Chuck Sheetz and written by Margaret M. Dean and Jed Elinoff, the movie showcases the beloved characters of the Scooby-Doo universe as they investigate a mysterious ship that has been haunting the waters of the Triangle.

The movie opens with the gang receiving invitations to the grand opening of a new museum showcasing the artifacts of the legendary pirate, Thomas Crowne. The museum is run by the eccentric billionaire, Mr. Mysterio, who is also throwing a party for the opening. The gang arrives in style on a luxurious cruise liner, and it's not long before they meet other guests who have been invited to the party as well.

Unfortunately, their journey is soon interrupted when they enter the dangerous waters of the Bermuda Triangle. To make matters worse, their cruise ship is attacked by the Ghost Pirate crew, who abduct Mr. Mysterio and his assistant, Miss Mirimoto. What's more, they have also stolen an ancient relic, the "Golden Skull," which was supposed to be a centerpiece of the museum.

With their party destination out of reach, and the fate of the hostages and the Golden Skull unknown, the gang is forced to set out to sea to rescue them. Without any navigational instruments, they're at the mercy of the ocean and their own wit and resources. What follows is an action-packed and hilarious adventure on the high seas as they sail to the heart of the Triangle where they encounter a host of legendary pirates.

Along the way, the gang encounters the legendary Captain Skunkbeard, who offers them his help. But it turns out he's not as helpful as he seems, and has his own sinister agenda in mind. The Ghost Pirate crew is led by a sinister figure known as "The Phantom," who seems to know everything about the gang, and is always one step ahead of them. It's up to our heroes to figure out who the Phantom is and put an end to his dastardly plans.

As always, Scooby and Shaggy are the comic relief of the movie and their antics and antics bring much-needed humor to the movie. However, they also play a crucial role in cracking the case through their cleverness and bravery. The rest of the gang is also in top form, with Daphne providing her usual fashion inspiration and Fred offering his trademark leadership skills.

The voice acting in the film is as good as it gets, with Frank Welker reprising his role as the beloved Scooby-Doo and Casey Kasem delivering the iconic voice of Shaggy. Mindy Cohn brings a spunky energy to the character of Velma, and Grey Griffin gives Daphne a sense of sophistication and grace that is synonymous with the character.
