Brian McDonald and his sister have always been close. They were all each other had as they traveled through the foster care system growing up. When Brian is found dead on the beach it is devastating to her. Making matters worse is a police investigation that is going nowhere. Now along with their childhood friend Michael, she has to delve deep into their past to discover who their real mother was, what became of her and how their time in foster care relates to her brother’s death more than two decades later.
