Jennifer Lopez Might Not Return to 'American Idol,' Has a 'Lot of Other Things Happening' Say it ain't so, J.Lo!

Jennifer Lopez, who lent her talents to "American Idol" this past season as a judge (and occasionally as a performer), has said that she's still "very on the fence" about returning to the show next year.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1, Lopez seemed torn: "I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it but I have a lot other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of what I want to do for the next year and we're not really at the breaking point of 'You have to make a decision right now! I'm just really enjoying the time of just waiting and seeing."

Those "other things happening" include the talent-search show "Q'Viva! The Chosen" which Lopez is developing with her husband Marc Anthony. The show will involve the two traveling throughout Latin America looking for the next singing superstar.

"Q'Viva!" is being produced in part by Simon Fuller, who created "American Idol"...so it would make sense that he would keep J.Lo's new show out of the way of her "Idol" decision. "American Idol" saw a revival of sorts this year after its fan base and buzz had dwindled coming into its 10th season. But having "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World" in Lopez and the "Loose Cannon" in Aerosmith's Steven Tyler helped boost ratings and viewer voting.

Lopez only signed a one-year deal with "Idol" last October, so she's free to do what she wants. But considering that deal landed her $12 million and she could possibly see even more this year, it should be hard for J.Lo to say no.
