Watch: Lauren Alaina's First Music Video 'Like My Mother Does'

The official music video for "American Idol" finalist Lauren Alaina's single, "Like My Mother Does," has hit the web...and it's awfully personal.

The video features actual home video footage from Alaina's childhood, mostly of her and her mother playing. It's all very sweet...but seeing the apparent age of the young Alaina and seeing the date on the home video (1997) made me feel old. Thanks, kid.

If you're wondering if that's Alaina's own house that she's singing in, it's not. "It's all projected on this beautiful Southern-style house," she told GAC, who premiered the video. "It's really great. It shows my life, so people will know more about me after they see it."

Lauren Alaina finished second in the most recent season of "American Idol" to another country-crooning teenager, Scotty McCreery. McCreery's debut music video will premiere on Tuesday evening, so tune in for that one.
